BIOCARE MULTIPURPOSE COOPERATIVE (BMC) is a Cooperative legally existing
under the Philippine law. It was registered in the Cooperative Development Authority
(CDA) with Registration No. 9520160161104. Our address is located at No. 8 Pelaez St.,

HISTORY
BMC was formed by twenty seven (27) Independent distributors of natural and
organic Filipino food supplements. On April 22, 2009, BMC registered its name in the
Cooperative Development Authority. On the onset, the first project that BMC made for
the members wasto provide credit loan. However, instead of cash the Coop provided food
supplements and beauty products; payment was made in cash. As a result, many
distributors followed. They patronized and eventually joined the Cooperative. The 27
pioneering individuals became 12,000 members.
On February 27, 2012, BMC had its third General Assembly meeting, a new set of
officers were elected. Ms. Aileen D. Alvarez was chosen as the new Chairperson of BMC.
She said that her goal is to make BMC well known in Marketing Filipino Natural and
Organic Products. Nevertheless, due to intent motivation by the new leaders, BMC was
able to penetrate the market. She took Bio Enzyme Juice and Herbal Coffee as its premier
product.
Recently, BMC conducted its 4th General Assembly meeting and elected the new
Board of Directors and officers. Generally, BMC has made a very impressive and
unprecedented performance in running the Cooperative, the rest is history.

Philosophy
BMC believes in the virtue of patience, it is the fundamental nature of knowledge,
behavior, reality, and existence, “The Team Holds the Dreams” BMC leaders adhere in selfhelp principle and the task of development lies primarily in the hands of the Team. As Ms.
Aileen always says, success must focus on the Team and not on the individual efforts. BMC
believes that members have to create opportunities out of nothing to improve their
economic wellbeing.
BMC Products and Services
Since its inception, the Coop has been marketing organic and natural products.
One of these is Herbal Coffee. Recently, the new elected officers of the Cooperative has
decided to carry the Rice Coffee. This coffee is traditionally a Filipino preferred coffee over
Robusta and Arabica. The new leadership has decided to carry Red Rice Coffee as its
flagship product. So as a result, BMC will venture in planting Red Rice and processed it
into Rice Coffee.
Awards
On October 21, 2012, BMC was awarded as Most Outstanding Cooperative in
Marketing Natural and Organic Filipino Products. The award was handed by Consumers
Quality Awards Committee held in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City, Philippines.
Livelihood
On July 30, 2013, BMC launched its BMC Kabuhayan Livelihood Program in
Philippines International Convention Center (PICC). The Coop members and Kabuhayan
Partners had earned from the products they sold. BMC introduced the Kabuhayan
Compensation Program. This program earns while consuming and promoting the
products, it allocates profit shared among the participants.
Values of Bayanihan
BMC members applied the Cooperative principles and values with modern
Bayanihan/Damayan; it conceptualized the Kabuhayan Store. Low prices of products
became available for the members and Kabuhayan Partners. In addition, Coop members
and partners can also supply their own-produced products. BMC is committed in helping
through the Kabuhayan Livelihood Program and Trainings. For instance, ALTMED products
which are, “Mineral-based” health products were introduced and carried by the members.
Mineral-based food supplement formulator, Dr. Rene M. Bautista always telling us, “DO
NOT FOCUS ON DISEASES, FOCUS ON THE FOUNDATION OF HUMAN BODY.”
Online Marketing
During Covid19 pandemic the country had suffered tremendously. Contact from
person to person was prohibited. Everybody was ordered by the government to avoid
mingling with people and stay at home as much as possible. BMC took the opportunity of
relying in the new technology of selling products online. It helped many Filipinos who lost
their jobs and business due to the pandemic. BMC accepted the challenge of the “New
Normal.” The Coop has introduced the Online Marketing System wherein the members,
Kabuhayan partners and affiliates can utilize cellphone and internet to sell their products;
